TDF-50AEX
Explosion-proof inert powder feeder
Whole-unit explosion-proof certification, applicable to explosive dust environments in Zone 21/22. Designed for inertization during the collection and treatment of highly reactive, flammable, and explosive dust (e.g., aluminum powder, titanium powder), reducing combustion and explosion risks. It also enables oil-containing viscous flue gas mixing, lowering flue gas viscosity to reduce adhesion to filter media. Combined with pulse-jet cleaning, this extends the filter cartridge lifespan and lowers the dust collection system’s maintenance costs.

INTRODUCTION ■ Whole-Unit Explosion-Proof Certification
Equipped with explosion-proof weighing modules, explosion-proof electrical control cabinets, explosion-proof touch screens, and explosion-proof alarm bells, the entire unit is grounded for anti-static protection and certified for ATEX/ISO/IECEx Zone 21 whole-unit explosion-proof compliance.
■ Solid Inertization: Reduces Combustion and Explosion Risks
The TDF inert powder feeder employs solid inertization technology to inject inerting powder into pipelines of dust collection systems handling highly reactive, flammable, and explosive dust (e.g., aluminum powder, titanium powder). Under the system’s negative pressure, the inerting powder flows into pipelines and the dust collector, mixing with explosive dust. This mixture reduces dust combustibility, significantly lowering combustion and explosion risks.
■ Viscosity Reduction: Extends Filter Cartridge Service Life
Inert powder is sprayed into the dust collection system’s pipelines. Driven by system negative pressure, the powder enters pipelines and mixes with viscous flue gas inside the dust collector. The mixture lowers flue gas viscosity, reducing adhesion to filter media. Simultaneously, a powder barrier layer forms on the filter surface, preventing direct contact between viscous flue gas and the filter media. This process extends filter cartridge lifespan and reduces maintenance costs for the dust collection system.
APPLICABLE FIELDS Aerospace New energy Automobile Nonferrous metals WORKING PRINCIPLE ■ Dust-laden flue gas is captured through retractable suction arms or ducts and driven into the filtration chamber by the blower. When passing through horizontally mounted filter cartridges, particulate matter is intercepted and filtered on the filter media surface. Clean air penetrates the media into the cartridge core, then is discharged directly indoors through the clean air chamber and blower.
■ The powder feeder activates simultaneously with the dust collection system. A compressed air purging device in the powder feeder’s silo maintains the powder in a fluidized state. Under the silo’s slight positive pressure and the duct’s negative pressure, fluidized inert powder is continuously delivered into the dust collection system through pipelines.。
■ Weighing modules at the silo base monitor real-time powder mass changes and transmit signals to the PLC control system. The PLC program executes actions based on predefined powder dosage thresholds to achieve closed-loop control: Increases purge frequency/duration to offset insufficient powder supply. If prolonged compensation fails to meet dosage thresholds, alarms activate to demand manual intervention. Reduces purge frequency/duration to decrease powder supply. Monitors real-time powder levels. If below thresholds, alarms activate to prompt manual replenishment.
