TDF series

Inert powder feeder

Applied in inertization during the collection and treatment of highly reactive, flammable, and explosive dust (e.g., aluminum powder, titanium powder), mitigating combustion and explosion risks. Additionally, it processes oil-containing viscous flue gas by mixing, reducing flue gas viscosity to minimize adhesion to filter media. Enhanced by pulse-jet cleaning, this extends filter cartridge service life and reduces system maintenance costs.

    INTRODUCTION

Solid Inertization: Reduces Combustion and Explosion Risks

The TDF inert powder feeder employs solid inertization technology to inject inerting powder into pipelines of dust collection systems handling highly reactive, flammable, and explosive dust (e.g., aluminum powder, titanium powder). Under the system’s negative pressure, the inerting powder flows into pipelines and the dust collector, mixing with explosive dust. This mixture reduces dust combustibility, significantly lowering combustion and explosion risks.

Viscosity Reduction: Extends Filter Cartridge Service Life

Inert powder is sprayed into the dust collection system’s pipelines. Driven by system negative pressure, the powder enters pipelines and mixes with viscous flue gas inside the dust collector. The mixture lowers flue gas viscosity, reducing adhesion to filter media. Simultaneously, a powder barrier layer forms on the filter surface, preventing direct contact between viscous flue gas and the filter media. This process extends filter cartridge lifespan and reduces maintenance costs for the dust collection system.

    WORKING PRINCIPLE

The powder feeder activates simultaneously with the dust collection system. A compressed air purging device in the powder feeder’s silo maintains the powder in a fluidized state. Under the silo’s slight positive pressure and the duct’s negative pressure, fluidized inert powder is continuously delivered into the dust collection system through pipelines.。

Weighing modules at the silo base monitor real-time powder mass changes and transmit signals to the PLC control system. The PLC program executes actions based on predefined powder dosage thresholds to achieve closed-loop control: Increases purge frequency/duration to offset insufficient powder supply. If prolonged compensation fails to meet dosage thresholds, alarms activate to demand manual intervention. Reduces purge frequency/duration to decrease powder supply. Monitors real-time powder levels. If below thresholds, alarms activate to prompt manual replenishment.
